There’s something reassuring about the predictable change of the seasons. Crunchy leaves are piled up by the pavement, our breath is suspended in the morning chill (if not behind a mask), and the shorter, darker days leave us reaching for those things that bring us comfort. This year, that comfort is more welcome than ever.
For us, the seasons bring early gifts, with the arrival of new coffees. We’ve been tinkering away to create an extra-special Festive Blend that will bring a little bit of cheer, in its own small way. There’s a limited amount available, so click here to grab yours, or read on for more info…
What’s in the Festive Blend?
Picking the components for the blend was quite simple – we’ve gone for coffees from places you’ve loved in the past, starting with a great Guatemalan.
Todos Santos is an organic Caturra, which goes through a 3 day fermentation, before being fully washed. With baked apple notes and a slight zestiness, it’s a fantastic coffee in its own right. It was a huge hit last year, and we’re really glad to have it back in this year’s Festive Blend.
The remainder of the blend comes from Uganda – relatively close to Kisinga, home to one of 2020’s most popular coffees. This coffee, from the village of Ibanda, is a high altitude mixture of SL14 and SL28 varietals, along with some regional landraces.
Together, our Festive Blend has got everything you’d want from this time of year – dried fruits and warming spices. The coffee equivalent of a mince pie!
Packaging – just for Christmas, not for life…
The amount of waste generated in the UK each Christmas is scary. We have a duty to have as minimal an impact as possible, which is why the packaging for our Festive Blend is carbon-neutral and fully recyclable.
Of course, packaging needs to look good too! This year’s Festive Blend comes neatly packed in a decorative red box – perfect as a stocking filler, or as a gift to yourself to fuel your online gift shopping.
