This is our beautiful Coffee Roastery. Built in 1907 and originally an old Granary we are situated in an idyllic little village called East Rounton, North Yorkshire. When we took on the building we knew that there would be a lot of hard work ahead of us. Nothing had changed in The Granary since it had been used last. The main function as we understand, was to store and compress grains for cattle feed.
We started working on The Granary in September 2013 and have spent many months working hard to make it into our dream Coffee Roastery. The Granary was part of a much larger estate and we think we have sympathetically restored it. The Mill is still present in the Granary, where we have tried to preserve it as best as possible as well as keeping all our interior very much in keeping with the building.
Our aim? We wanted to create a small independent Micro Roastery along with beautiful surroundings and open to anyone who shares a passion for coffee. The idea of meeting like minded people in our Roastery is a real bonus for us. We want people to know about our history, about our converted Granary and the story behind each of our coffees.
We are proud of what we have achieved and we want everyone else to share our coffee journey.
